Members of the Age Forward Coalition have been advocating the needs of older adults with various elected leaders and the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors.  As part of the 2024 Senior Advocacy Day on May 9, we met with the legislative staff of Senators Josh Becker and Scott Weiner and Assemblymembers Philip Ting and Marc Berman.  Our 2024 collectively prioritized advocacy issues are financial support for family caregivers, the development of a San Mateo County strategic plan for older adults, a Universal Basic Income pilot program for older adults, and financial support for low-cost on-demand transportation.
